Picture leaving your town and traveling the back roads of North America. Picture the sights you'd see, the people you'd meet. Do you miss home? Do you feel small compared to the vastness of the world? Set those feelings to music, and your result will sound a lot like Michael Barrow & The Tourists.
A folk rock act from Provo, Utah, they blend the sound of The Paper Kites with electric guitar tones that would feel at home on John Mayer’s Continuum. The band has developed a reputation for their solid live performance and expansive dynamic range. After self-producing their album, they worked with Brian Zieske (The Hush Sound, The Academy Is…), who mixed and mastered it to capture the energy of their live sound. Their debut album Juneau is set for a May 2017 release. The band is made up of Michael Barrow (Vocals, Guitar), Trevor Harmon (Lead Guitar), Reed Perkins (Drums), Alessandro Improta (Bass), and Zach Collier (Keys).
Let’s take a trip.
